The Beginning

Jerk Fry City™ is built on the strength of a Jamaican mother named Sandra

Sandra had her first child at 13 years old and went on to raise seven children with grit, grace, and God.

With so many kids to care for, Sandra had to work nonstop — and that meant the older children had to help raise the younger ones.


One of those children was Abbygale.

Abby learned how to cook not because it was cute — but because the family needed to eat.

She learned seasoning, technique, love, and survival all in the same pot.

Those early lessons formed her flavor identity.

Abby opened the iconic Kingston11 Jamaican Restaurant in Philadelphia.

People lined up outside the door.
Videos went viral.

Customers kept saying,

MEET ABBY — “THE ROOT OF THE FLAVOR”

I was raised in a single-parent home by a mother who did whatever it took to provide for her children.

Our kitchen wasn’t just a place to eat—it was a place of survival, creativity, and vision. While other kids came home from school to relax, I came home to help my mom cook. She sold platters straight from our home kitchen, turning love, hustle, and flavor into a way to keep our household moving forward.

That’s where it started.

Long before I ever owned a restaurant or built a brand, entrepreneurship was being poured into me one dish at a time. Watching my mother create opportunity out of limited resources planted something deep inside me—a belief that food could be more than food. It could be a future.

AS I GREW, SO DID MY PASSION

That gift became my language.

What started in a home kitchen became a calling. A purpose. A mission to bring bold, unforgettable flavor to every table—while honoring where it all began.
